Adorn yourself with this beautiful one-of-a-kind necklace. Add the earrings for a complete set!

Multicolor flowers and birds, intricate carvings of Santa's, cats and dogs adorn each original gourd ornament. The story goes that lady in the Andes, skilful in embroidery, married a master gourd carver and soon decided to incorporate her passion into her husband's work. She started and perfected what is now known as the Primavera technique which adds brightness to the traditional monochromatic carved gourds. As a modern twist to this 4000 year old tradition, these ornaments represent a reborn folk art form. They are surprisingly resistant so kids can safely enjoy them as well. Finely hand-carved, some are also color-dyed, by artistans in the Andes of Peru. Our petite gourd ornaments average 2.5 - 3.5" inches tall and details will vary as nature and the artist intended. They come ready to hang. Let us pick one especially for you! Click here to see our designs!
