Gifts from a Distance has gifts for any occasion or just to say "I'm thinking about you!". Our mission is to create a better world through gift-giving so, a portion of all of our proceeds are donated to a charitable organization every month! The Trail of the Painted Ponies is celebrating the beauty of the four seasons with a special collection, limited edition collection of four painted ponies: Winter, Summer, Spring & Fall. Tiptoe through the Tulips seen here is the first to arrive. These ponies are special. The limited production first edition will be the only edition. Our Babies, Toddlers and Kids of all Ages section continues to grow and grow. We just added Brain Noodles, fun kits to stimulate your child's imagination and are adding so cute onesies, burp cloths and other items by Stephen Joseph. As always we are looking for unique north American artists so, keep your eye in sections like Gifts for Women, Art for the Home and Cat & Dog Lover Jewelry. Great gifts all year long!

Each month we feature one of our "helping-to- create-a-better-world" organizations on our front page. Many of our helping groups are small, local organizations who depend on volunteers and funding from caring people just like you. You don't have to live near these folks to help them out! Please take a minute to get to know them. They would love to hear from you!
This month we honor St. Augustine Wild Reserve in Florida, a non-profit corporation created as a rescue center for unwanted exotic animals. Founded by Deborah Warrick, the Reserve takes in the unwanted animals as an alternative to euthanasia. For example, five Arctic wolves and an African lion were received from Michael Jackson, who no longer wanted them at his ranch near Santa Barbara.
